Its a real crap shoot whether or not it can be saved after things proceed this far. Not browbeating here, but get cupramine and a test kit and keep it at ready for future issues with ich or velvet. Keep up perfect water quality in the qt,try garlic laced food to spike its appetite. If you cant get garlic extract,go to grocery store and get minced garlic in water. Use the minced garlic mashed with some food. Garlic will not kill off any parasite but it is thought to boost the fishes immune system and help them want to eat.
This article made me remember hypo salinity as a treatment as well.It also has good info about marine ich.

Thanks for your advice , I couldn't find cupramine anywhere so I ordered it from marine depot. I did a water change as the meds said so and re dosed. He is still somewhat active and the spots are gone, well only 1 left so im gonna treat 2 days more if he survives. It's sad but this has taught me a hole lot about how to QT and what not to do

always tough to lose a fish :/ hopefully your little guy can pull through! if he's still active at this point he probably has a pretty good shot as long as you keep up the treatment for a couple days after the spots have gone away
55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013

20g Long --> currently concoting a build plan

Check out the journal to follow my 20g SW tank

Good to hear you are making progress

Just make sure you treat for the full length of time as stated in the instructions for the meds.

I really hope he makes a full recovery
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Also keep in mind that ich can persist without a host in the display tank for 6 to 8 weeks which heightens the chances of reinfecting a fish when added back in.

So how do you treat that in a reef tank?

A fallow period with no fish in the tank for 6 to 8 weeks.
