And I almost got arrested. Oh boy!!!
I'm walking my friend's dog while she and her husband are in NYC for New Years (they won an all expenses paid trip - WOW!!). She told me where her security code was and how to turn the system off and such, but apparently I didn't find it fast enough and put it in fast enough. The alarm went off, and I finally got it to turn off a couple minutes later (it's COMPLETELY different from my security system - I was majorly confused lol).
The lady from the security system office called and wanted to know what the "secret word" was...I had no clue. lol I called my friend, she didn't answer, so I called her mom. She had no clue either.
Finally, after about 5 or 6 minutes of brainstorming, we figured it out and the lady on the phone said she wouldn't call the police.
I was pretty relieved. lol
On one hand, I was relieved, on the other, I was a bit concerned. It was pretty easy for me to talk my way into delaying the whole secret word process. I told her I was just walking the dog for the weekend, and that they won a trip to NYC, and blah blah. However, if I was really a robber, I reckon I wouldn't have answered the phone in the first place.
Back in September (maybe it was October?), I came home after dark one night and got Izzy (my dog), then went back into my garage to go outside and walk her, and there was a man in my garage. I kept my composure, slammed the door, set off a duress code on my security system, and called 911. They were here and had the man within like 10 minutes of me calling the police, and he was charged with trespassing. So thankful for security systems!!! ...And that I didn't get arrested tonight. lol
I'm not having the best luck with pet sitting this week for some reason. lol

haha - If I had a fenced in yard and a dog that would welcome another dog into the home, I'd probably consider doing that. ;) Thankfully, my sister and her family came home today, so I just need to take care of my friend's dog until Sunday now. :)

It would be funny, kinda, if your 'one phone call' ended up being a message to AC..

"oh walking my friend's dog, you?"
"jay walking..."
"GAH im staying away from you!"
prison talk is funny. sadly enough i remember a case of some one in my neighborhood. some one broke into their house while they were away. the cops came and the guy walked out with the dog on a leash. they questioned him and let him walk the dog. sadly enough they were robbed blind...

Ellen is turning into a ganger. Soon she will have a hat on sidewalks and be wearing her husbands pants.
