Wow, I had no idea he died. I love his work. He seemed like he would have been a nice person to meet.

That's sad news. I haven't seen much of his stuff, but he was funny. I'll have to watch some of his stuff. Jim Gaffigan is another family friendly stand-up comic. He's hilarious, as well.

"In Bruges" 2008
...I watched this on the flight back home...and since we had just had dinner in Bruges, I thought it was appropriate.
It's not the sort of movie I'd otherwise watch...but it was actually very good. I'd recommend it (if you're okay with blood and gore and foul language).

I loved In Bruges. It really is a strange movie but well worth the watch. Good cast too.

Me too. One of the few movies with Colin Farrell I could sit through.
Life is tough, it's even tougher if you're stupid (John Wayne)
If you're not angry, you are not paying attention (Ralph Nader)

Finally saw "Pacific Rim".
Not what I expected but was fun to watch regardless. Godzilla meets Transformers came to mind or a high end version of "Hiyata is Ultraman".... 😃

Agreed on "In Bruges." That was a great movie and like you guys, I usually don't like Colin Farrell movies. Another one that comes to mind was Seven Psychopaths. That's a similarly odd movie, but hilarious and highly entertaining. Loved it.
I finally saw Frozen with my daughter. Bought it for Easter. Ehhhh, it was ok. The music was good, the animation was great, but I felt that the story was really rushed. It seemed to be over really quickly and I felt like I was missing out on something. The usual Disney touch wasn't present in this movie.
I compared it to Tangled and Brave, which I thought were both excellent movies.

Moonrise Kingdom (Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray) was fun, funny and quirky as all heck. I really enjoyed it. Wes Anderson I think that did :
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. (Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Willem DeFoe) I loved that one absolutely. I still smile just thinking of Jeff Goldblum, the news paper and the three legged dog, lucky...ROFL
Also made The Royal Tannenbaums? Another great movie I've seen many times... (Gene Hackman, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more).
Life Aquatic and Tannenbaums are two of my all time favorite movies, seen many times. I mention this as In Bruges kinda reminds me how quirky they are...

I agree on "Frozen". It was good, but something was missing. I don't understand why it was rated as high as it was compared to other animations I thought were better.
Speaking of which - I also watched 'Free Birds' 2013 on the flight over...and I loved it (Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 18/46%). I thought it was hilarious. Was it 'great'? No...not quite, but maybe I liked it more because we have chickens and had turkeys?
