The Fifth Element is a classic among sci-fi fans. Ranks up there in my top 10 of all time for sure.

I am also watching the reboot of Cosmos on Fox/National Geographics (my viewing of choice).

Went to IMAX with my two best gf's and watched the sequel to 300, 3D version. The 3D part was a non-issue - wasn't impressed by it at all. I would rather have seen it in plain hi-def.
It was ok. More gore than the first. But the first one had more presence. Unless you really liked the first one, I wouldn't run out to see the second. I loved 300, own it on Bluray, but I'm not going to buy the sequel.

Ahhh, that's unfortunate. I was really looking forward to the sequel. ;/ I loved 300 and am a big fan of Frank Miller. Thanks for the review, though, I guess I'm not missing much at the theater.

I finally finished SGU... lol I would have to say that it was a slow builder, but the 2nd season certainly performed quite a bit better. I found myself enjoying the last several episodes.

I just watched Escape Plan and was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. I had my reservations with a Sylvester Stallone + Arnold Schwarzneggar movie, because putting big action stars together in one movie typically means lack of story. The story in this was was actually pretty interesting and I enjoyed watching it. One of Stallone's better roles, I feel, and it actually forced him to act... rather than to merely rely on him being an action star. I guess this is to be expected. He and Arnold aren't getting any younger. Schwarzneggar wasn't bad, either.

Midsomer Murders, seasons 14 & 15. Still a fun show to watch even though the principle, detective chief inspector Tom Barnaby retired. Murder mysteries set in Cornish country with "nutters, nutters and more nutters" make this fun and enjoyable to watch. Watching the series since season 1 has made me wonder how the Brits ever survived as a peoples. A bonk on the head with a tree branch seems to wipe em out easily enough. Even so, still engrossing and if you enjoy Poirot or Marple, you'll enjoy this too.
    Season 1 - 13. Netflix. Season 14 - 15 iTunes.

"Frozen". Good animated film, but not much there for adults.

Non Stop - I enjoyed, good flick! 7/10, maybe 8. But I'm also a fan of Liam Neeson...and its always nice when there's a few surprises in a movie.

Not as bad as folks were saying but jeeeeez, general Zod AGAIN!

Thor. Dark something or other, lol.
Good romp and worth the Rental.

    The Hobbit: Desolation of Smug
Liked it and I think a great part II, IMO better than the 1st Hobbit flick.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, not bad at all, a few of the chracters are "different" than I would expect, but overall pretty good. The 16 yo realy enjoyed it.

I've been watching my favourite comic's videos lately, since he died recently. John Pinette's I'm Starvin', and Still Hungry are great, and I watched I Say Nay Nay yesterday as well.
I love all his stuff, very sad that he passed so young. I had plans to see him live, he was rumoured to be coming to Rama, tho I have no idea if that was true or not.

In any case, John Pinette is hilarious, and family friendly, which is pretty rare for modern stand up.
