Got the Shell Tank put together! Opinions wanted
My first experience ever with these fish, does this look like a good habitat? Substrate is sand, and I used Escargot shells. Filtration is a Aquaclear 20 and im running a heater, forget the specs but i've used it fine in a 10g before. Now I just need to track down some fish lol.

wow, thats a shelly condo paradise! The fish won't be able to pick a shell with so much to choose from.
I've no personal experience with shellies, but that looks fine to me, except they may like a bit of open sand to play in...

Looks good, lots of shells. Be prepared many shell dwellers will move a lot of sand around, so some of the unused shells may end up buried. It's fun seeing what they do to the tank. I normally just flatten the sand out and put shells everywhere and let them go at it.

They will breed like crazy, with that many shells.I had a colony that produced so mant babies that i was using the fast growing fry as live food for my juvie orange pike cichlids.

There's a part of me that says to put some rock in there.
Some examples --

Thanks guys! There is some rock in there but its hard to see, the water was still pretty cloudy. I fully expect them to re-scape everything, thats one of the behaviors im really looking forward to!
Right now im leaning towards Lamprologus Ocellatus, I like their coloring and behavior. I already tried the LFS and his suppliers dont have any shell dwellers, so it looks like im gonna be ordering online no matter what I pick.

I would add some taller rocks with a tan tone...Ohko stone would be awesome. I hope the neons are not a permant fixture in the tank, the shells and sand will not create water conditions to their liking. Overall the tank is nice, perfect home for some shellies150G SA Cichlids|100G Planted Community|50G Reef|20G Tanganyikan|10G Divided Bettas|10G Nano Fish
