FRESHWATER ebook?
I want an ebook that is all about freshwater fish and how to take care of them. I'd rather it's not one that pushes products.
Thank you.

Goldfish need fish tanks, filters and a cycled tank like all fish do. Only difference is they require no heater. Read the goldfish article in your left hand menu.
Obviously, goldfish do not belong in bowls.....ever. Read the growth chart in my signature for the different types and what size they should grow to.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

Hey eltyIT, I happened to read your reply. I have a 65 gallon tank that once had 15 goldfish in there along with 2 dwarf gouramis, a glass cat, pearl danio, and a tuxedo platy. There was plenty of space for all of the fish, however the goldfish all died within days. There is a reason they call it a goldfish COMMUNITY (just like we label cichilds, freshwater, and marine fish- goldfish need their space.), they are not very hardy fish, they rely on eachother to find food. When you mix two types of communities together like goldfish and freshwater, you obviously have to consider different feeding methods, whether it's putting the two types of feed in at different times, or just using both goldfish and tropical pellets or flakes. Since goldfish often follow the first to get to the food, they end up eating the wrong food. They also eminate much more ammonia then most fish, so the only fish I'd reccomend mixing is an easily satisfied freshwater fish like a platy or mollies. Make sure they're similar size as well, if you put a smaller hardy fish in there like a guppy, however friendly and hyper they may be, their bodies can't handle the waste levels.

spikiki, many aquariums and fish emporiums actually have their own ebooks. If you go to year nearest one (and PLEASE not a pet wholesaler, they don't know healthy fish, they can't raise them properly.) and ask a manager or whoever if they have any guest workshops, they usually give you all the info on great ebooks and forums at the end of the meeting. Hope that helped.
