  1. Default Fed my Acans NLS pellets today [pictures]

I have been worried that they do not seem to show feeding tentacles after lights out.I have never seen them during the day either. My brain works slow sometimes and after realizing they really are built much like the brain coral and there tentacles are inside its outer edge. I looked up some vids on youtube of people feeding there acans and in many cases no tentacles were visible before feeding.I got out the small NLS pellets and put quite a few on all 3 polyps with instant action! The thing was starved, the good news is I can feed it during the day while the thieving bastard shrimp are too scared to come out.BTW,I know I put too much on them but about half way through I waived half of them off.The middle polyp got about 3 while the ouside ones got near 10 each. I see the best way would be 1 lrg fish nls pellet per polyp.Enjoy the pics, the first one was not really taken today but is representative nonetheless,

lol you are feeding everything in sight these days ;)

I have a straw that I chase the shrimp off my corals when they are being thieving bastards, lol. Silly, I know, but they annoy me when there's plenty to eat elsewhere!

My cleaner shrimp is easy to deter,I simply give him some of whatever Im feeding ,he takes it and runs. The peppermints are like jackyls though, they come in from everywhere and prefer to take the food right out of the corals mouths.A mystery wrasse is in there future

I usually feed my acans during the late afternoon so I don't see their feeder tentacles out until after the food is there.

Your acans are looking pretty good Smaug
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

    I agree, nice acans!

My acan feeder tentacles are extended on a nightly basis. I very seldom feed them these days though.
