    Default Lost my first fish

    I was checking out my 20 gallon tank and found my german blue ram dead. I noticed this morning she was hanging out by the top which was alittle odd but I didnt think much of it.

    Only had it for a little over 2 weeks. Its really wierd too, because all water parameters are fine and all the other fish (tetras and corys) seem to be thriving. Very strange

    If all the parameters are Ok, and you haven't changed anything like temperature dramatically, then it's probably (sadly so) just one of those things. I lost a cory last week (had him over a year), all was perfect, nothing changed, it just died...

    How long has the tank been set up? I have seen this happen often when rams are added to tanks that have not been running for a few months at least. I like to wait 6 months before adding them.

    Ahh too bad. I have the same problem. I can't keep a GBR to save my life, I've tried three times in two of my tanks and now I just accept they don't like it here!
