i just used SeaChem's Flourish Excel instead of DiY or such CO2 injectors.

What substrate are you using? Is it just a black gravel? It looks amazing with the rest of your tank.

yes it is just jet black gravel, not much choice on my LFS.

i just dose 3 times a week of excel as someone said in this forum (forgot who) that it might not be good for the fish if used in full doses.

Awesome set up, I'm diggin it! Agree about the black rock, looks great and with the dark background it really makes the plants pop. I'm with you on wanting more plants, this tank would look dank with a lot of live plants (not that it doesn't already
). I love the way really busy aquascapes look with tons of plants and rock and bogwood (I like the natural look) though this does look great as is.
What are you planning on stocking it with?

my stocking "idea": (chronological order of what i want to put first)
- 12 x Lemon Tetra
- 12 x Cherry Barbs
- 12 x Forktail Rainbows
- 12 x Threadfin Rainbows
- 7 x Upsde-Down Catfish
- 8 x Zebra Loach
- finally, 6 x Angelfish (small juvies).

update to the look of my tank with real plants now.
just now i took pictures cuz it was too cloudy because of bacterial bloom for a while.
