Can a tank be overstocked with coral?
Thats the question.It seems Im getting quite a few in my 58 now and Im wandering when it will be too many?Here is a pic as it sets now.
The stock list is
3 fist size zoa colnys
1 palm size zoa colony
1 fist size clove colony
2 fist size mushroom colonys
1 brain coral
1 trumpet coral
2 florida ricordea
fire scallop
2 big white striped hermits
very larg cuc of blue legs,red legs,ceriths,nassarius,bumblebees and margaritas,and asstd shrimp.
4 grn chromis
1 green clown goby
2 firefish
1 pinkspot watchmen
1 lawnmower blenny
med water movement via a big and small koralia and outlet from xp3.
filtration,lrg amount of activated carbon,nitrate lock,phoslock and purigen
parameters stabilizing at
400ca
1350 mg

0 phos
.5 trate
1.025 sal

No skimmer.

IMO a tank is fully stocked with coral when there is no more physical space to put it without it harming other coral or it self. I've seen successful tanks so packed with coral that not any live rock or sand is exposed at all

I can stil see rock and sand, so your not over stocked
You'll just have to allow for some space for your corals to grow into, and watch for signs of the corals damaging each other.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I will say I have the same size tank and I have a lot more corals than you and I am not done stocking at all =) I see plenty of space for a lot more corals don't worry

I have MTS and you now have MCS (multiple coral syndrome). ;)
