  1. Default 55g african clawed frog ideas

ok im looking at my 55g now and i finally came to the decision that i want acf's. sooo here are my questions:

    1. i really like plants, but i know these guys dig up plants so i figure i could make a pretty planted tank with java ferns and moss, anubias, and floating plants, right? any other plant species or ideas?

    2. anyone have any success with other tankmates besides frogs? i'm thinking a goldfish that's big enough, anything else? an algae eater?

i guess thats about it, any help or thoughts would be awesome, thanks!

They will grab fish in their mouth, and rip at it with their hindclaws until it's dead. Any fish that lives in a 55 with them will be injured if not killed, but they will not attack each other. Maybe a blue crayfish?
I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.

Well, that's what they do in the wild. I guess if you keep them well fed they might be OK, but better overly cautious than waking up to your fish all shredded. A turtle might work.
