A Bad Day!
So this morning at 4:15a.m. I get into my car and head off to work. At 4:50am my car is totalled by a deer. I was doing 90km/hr when it appeared in front of my car. I hit the brakes as the deer hit my grill, never saw it coming.
She was a 1999.5 VW Golf TDi with 612,000kms.
I will miss her.

Total suck! I feel you, I lost a Volvo the same way, I'm glad no one was hurt.

Sorry to hear about the accident
Glad your OK. Cars can be replaced, but you can not.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thanks Cliff. I know your right but I really liked that car. Monday will be a hassle with the insurance company I'm sure. Not looking forward to it.

Trillianne the deer was dead as it hit the road after it went over my windshield. I was asked if I wanted it, being a hunter I declined. Road kill is tough and alot of the meat is damaged.
As I was in the back of the cop car and my car was being loaded onto the wrecker, two guys in camouflage pulled into the gas station we were at and asked the cop if the deer was available. I just shook my head and the cop told them they were too late as the MTO had already cleaned up the carcass.
I prefer my venison unstressed. Not always possible but so much tastier.
"Sorry about the car, but at least you are ok." Thanks.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

My aunt always has good deer killing stories.
Like the time when she was driving her sister someplace and they hit a deer and it left a brown smear down the door. Her dad looks here straight in the eye and says "Looks like you scared the crap right out of that one!"
... as for the roadkill... yeah wasn't suggesting scraping up with a spatula. Sometimes deer get hit and its more broken legs on their part that is the issue.

Thanks Pamela2Heaven.
There was not much left of the 140lb. deer( yes a small one), Trill that wasn't smashed. I got it full on her left side. After it smashed in my left fender, head light, front grill and hood, it went into my windshield (which didn't break), and over the roof back onto the road. It was hamburger.
As the officer said, " You smoked that one."Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
