well I've got a question about that as well, actually. You're calling for a glass lid, but what I've read has called for a screen lid... air circulation has been stressed more than humidity. So if I put a glass lid on it and mist it down humidity will be great but air circulation will be nil. If I use a screen lid circulation will be reasonable but keeping the humidity up will be a battle.

leopard frogs arent tropical frogs and thus i wouldnt think humidity would be an issue. as long as theres water for the frogs to hydrate in i wouldnt worry about the humidity... but air circulation would be a big thing if you ask me. arent leopard frogs native to our areas? ie mid-north north america?

they range from Canada to Mexico and everywhere in between... but the term "leopard frog" encompasses 14 different species. There's a Northern Leopard Frog which lives mostly in canada and the northern states, there's a Rio Grande Leopard frog in texas and mexico, a Plains Leopard Frog in the great plains and so on. So, while you can say that leopard frogs are found in a wide variety of environments throughout the united states, perhaps whatever exact species I have has more specific needs.

I ordered an acrylic sheet, cut it to size, and then did this:

If it wasn't clear from the drawings... the water area will be inside the acrylic box, with the land area around it to the back and sides. Tomorrow will be the leak test.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress

actually yes! I was going to include that in the last post but forgot. All three tadpoles have a slight darkening/thickening in the bottom of the tail right at the base... that's where the back legs start. Also, two out of the three have a little bump on one side of their bodies where the front legs will grow from. Not sure why it's just on one side...
I'll save the photos for now since the features are too tiny to see... hopefully in a couple days they'll be a bit more obvious.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress

Leak test fail! Water leaked out of both of the back bottom corners. That's why we test. I'll dry it out, re-silicone the corners, and try again tomorrow.

acrylic is cheaper and you can cut it without specialized equipment. It wasn't a problem with the acrylic anyhow, I just didn't get a total seal with the silicone.
Second attempt fixed one of the leaks, but not the other. Third attempt is curing now.
Meanwhile, the tadpoles are at 6 weeks.

It's kind of hard to make out, but if you look closely you can see the bump on their left sides that I think is going to turn into a front leg. Only two of them have the bump, and it's only on the left side.

In this photo you can see the start of the back legs, the dark area in the tail right behind the torso.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
