Awww, love them! Cutie pie goldfish! And I love the plants! It's amazing that your goldfish don't eat them. Are you just lucky, or did you somehow train them?
I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.

Please click an egg so they'll grow.

I am not a Big goldfish Man, but your tank is Beautiful!

They're not trained... Their tank was setup just for them with plants that they can't eat (E. Bleheri, Anubias) or don't like to eat (Ludwigia). All the plants were allowed to establish themselves before the Goldies were added to their world or grown out in my other aquarium -- such is the case with most of the Anubias plants. Two original plant species did have to be removed -- Lotus and E. 'Red Rubin' -- because one of the Goldies did have a taste for them. Not all Goldies are plant munchers either. Even the plants I had to remove were being victimized by only one of the Goldies, while the other two just ignored the plants. That said, there are plants which others manage to keep with Goldies that would never survive with my fish -- Anacharis, Hornwort, Java Fern, most other Echinodorus species, Crypts of any kind. All in all, it's about setting up the tank properly so everyone thrives, not so that the fish thrive and everything else just clings to life =)

Thanks you!! Especially thrilling when folks who aren't fans of Goldies find the aquarium nice to look at =) I'm not a fan, in general, of Goldies myself... I like just a certain type of Goldie, not every one I run across. My preference is for the less "exotic" types -- long finned comets, shubunkins, long finned fantails & Ryukin/fantail crosses. There are also colors I prefer (calicos, blues, chocolate) and others I won't get at all (white).
