Just got it today at PetSmart. That makes three tanks, and I think I am addicted.

    Nice shrimp tank.
That thing you have over the HOB in-let does look a bit wierd.
They do have sponge pre filters which will fit over that tube. They are black in colour and even the little ones (shrimp), wont get sucked up.

Are you getting some moss and driftwood for that tank?
Shrimp love java moss to graze on.

I do plan on getting Java Moss from a freind who has some along with a small piece of driftwood. I do agree that the thing looks a bit strange but it was some thing for a filter for 88 cents. I am going to put Red Cherry Shrimp in...anyone know a good place to get them from?

I went to e-bay believe it or not and found a local guy who sells red cherry shimp from his home. I was able to get 50 shrimp for $20.00. The same shrimp at the local lfs were around $6.00 each.

I had to click on the link three times before it opened.

I think that I am going to go with Jadenlea's site. With the Java Moss, how quickly will it spread in a non-substrate gravel?

Java moss just needs light to spread. It will start slowly and then go like wild fire. I have to cut mine weekly now.

Today, off of Ebay, I ordered some anacharis and dwarf baby tears. Maybe this week I will order some Red Cherry Shrimp off of Ebay too.
