Jewel Cichlid Aggression Question
I have read allot about them on here over the years, as I have always wanted one. I understand that the general consensus is that they are basically little raptors with fins. But in every account I have read on here, the fishkeeper had a breeding pair. My question is, what if I don't get a breeding pair? What if I just get one, will it still be as aggressive?
Right now I have a good size and growing Festivum, and a full grown Male Bolivian, both are pretty aggressive. My plan would be those two, one Jewel, and maybe 2 or 4 kribs. Based on articles I have read, those should all be compatible, if perhaps a little risky, what do you guys think?
50g, lots of rock-work and plants.

Can be aggressive by themselves also,Although it depends on the jewel species(cristatus, lillafi, are more peaceful). The "iffy" part is the ram surviving.Give it a try,or put a tank divider in ,to monitor aggression.
