I used to name guppies, but keeping track of 3,487,652 names got really tedious.
So I had a tank/livestock makeover, and a chain reaction water problem. Updated name list:
Female bettas: Icicle, unnamed green/blue/black little one
Blue danio: Streak
Leopard daino: Cheetah
Celestial pearl danios: Little Dipper, Shrew
Sparkling gourami: Jewel
Salt-and-pepper cories: Salt & Pepper
Julii cory: Maze
Longfin zebra, leopard, and 2 blue danios: Are yet to be named
Three pygmy cories: Buzz, Hover, Hum (named for their swimming style)
never named the guppies. but my bigger more stand out fish all have names.
girl betta - pearl
boy betta - poe
loach - gunda
cories- panda, stripes, and ugly.
copper molly- punk
white molly- steam
still working on the lemon swordtail names.
I have most of my fish named. Only my 4 bloodfin tetras and most of my cories are unnamed. Once i get my new tank i will have several new unnamed bloodfins, black neons, loaches, and female guppies. But the guppies will probably get names. Hopefully my loaches dont have to lose them...

In my passed I've always named my fish. My pleco was Joel, my loach was miles, and shane and october were my other 2 little fish. My betta was on its own in another tank and her name was Emily. I cant resist naming, they are pets too
Most of my individuals of the same size and species look too much alike to be able to tell them apart well enough to give them separate names. Next time I look, I can't tell which is which...
