Thread: Do You Name Your Fish?
11-01-2011, 05:35 AM #21
Only have a Betta while cycling my first 20 gallon, but after not being able to have cats or dogs to name (apartment) I had to at least name him. I went with the name Alpha.
When I get around to stocking my other tank I'll be coming up with some random names for the schools of fish, rather than naming each individually. If I get a pair of medium size fish those will get named individually, but anything more than a pair is getting labeled "The Darkness" or "The Swarm" or something similar

I usually go by the rule that as long as they live two weeks after I acquire them, they have passes the mark and get accepted into the gang, or if a betta are given a name.2.5 Gal- Frank, Male Betta, HM- Low Tech Planted Tank

Used to name them, but found naming seemed to put a VooDoo curse on the lifespan of my fish... Soon as I named them, they'd start getting sick and then die. Stopped naming... have had better luck.
