    I hear ya! I can just see naming 34 tetra's that all look the same. Fish are like cats. Why bother? They don't listen to you anyway.

    Depends. If I had a school, I wouldn't bother naming them all, but for a few individuals, why not. :) I liked having fish named Butch and Sundance.

    I do not name my fish because as 850R said, "they have Latin names already".

    Now my wife and daughter do have some names for the few that are not schooling fish but being a guy I don't pay attention.
    Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
