Where are rainbow mantis native to? Is it temperate, tropical, etc? What should the light cycle be (what time should the lights come on and turn off)? Also, what's the temperature of their natural habitat? Thanks.

That's exactly it! Thanks. I've read they like reeeeeaaaaallllly fine sand. Wouldn't it be too unstable to make a burrow out of? When I go to my condo at Christmas, I'll have to steal several bags of sand from this one fancy beach. It's said to have the softest sand in the world. Finer than baking powder even. Would this be too fine? I read they live in beds of muck and silt. Going to Siesta Key Beach! Better not get stopped at security with the sand though.....
