I got two beautiful baby yellow angels a month or so ago who have paired lovely and loving the 40g. Ive noticed this for abit now but i got these two the same age and time and size but looking at them one has grew to around a 50 pence coin (body) and is what i think is normal but not long fins and the other one which has only grew a small bit but its fine have grown enormous and really lovely but is this anything to be concerned about?

There are many different angel body styles.Just make sure they both get food. They have not truly paired at this age so keep a sharp eye on aggression as they age.

I hope they dont go aggressive, they really do seem close though sometimes they separate and do there own thing and sometimes they follow each other but they always make sure they sleep together

They are still cichlids and angels do hold an aggressive gene and its natural for them to spat, they live in schools and have to have a pecking order, its just the way things are.

Im sure you got a veil and a standard P Scalare. I bought two angels at about a nickle size each last march, today one is larger with longer fins and its sibling is a short fin big body. Its all in the food too, get them a high protein low fat food and they will get nice and robust fairly quickly.

What size tank are they in?
