    Question Your fav invert?

    0 Not allowed!
So I kind of have a soft side for inverts don't know why but I like them a lot. Maybe it is the way shrimp swim or how crayfish climb around but they are cool.
Sooooo, I wanna know what is you favorite freshwater invert species?

I like the small shrimps and the larger snails a lot.

Crystal Red Shrimp are pretty awesome and some can be very expensive.

Apple snails have a lot of what I would call "personality" for a snail.

Some of the mantis shrimp for SW are very, very cool and somewhat dangerous. I like the spearers better than the smashers I think but its a close race.

My favorite is probably a toss up between the purple bolt (or any Taiwan bee) or harlequin shrimp (caridina cf. Spongicola)...

If I got to choose a region it'd be sulawesi all the way, some awesome shrimp, crabs and snails there.

I liked my vampire/flower shrimps as well.

My Mom saw one waving for food, and called them Bongo Boys, because she thought it looked like they were playing the drums.

has to be the blue crayfish i had in my 30gal tank. fully grown maxed out at about 5". the antics of her where something else.

never failed to amuse me come feeding time when she would run out with claws in the air.

i used to put in a frozen (defrosted) prawn every now and then tied onto a bit of fishing line so that it dangled in the water for the fish to munch on.. after a few minutes she would come up and find a way upto the prawn and either swing on it while trying to eat it or try with all her strength to pull it out of my hand into the water.. excellent fun but a killer lol

Gotta be my cherax destructor cray, i especially like how he constantly escapes, sometimes is missing for a whole day, but always manages to survive and try to nip me when i find him...
