Long Fin Oscar
Do any of you have long fin oscars? Are they healthy? Should their fins be that long or is it some weird mutation created by breeders that causes them to be in pain.
They look beautiful to me but I don't want an unhealthy fish.

Practically all of the fish we keep are selectively bred in order to look the way they do, whether it's to change their body shape, size, color, etc.

lots of people weighing in on the appearance of longfin oscars. I do happen to agree with people, I don't think they look right, but that's just my personal opinion and if someone else likes the way they look then that's perfectly fine too... but that was only half of the OP's question.
As far as I know, long-finned variants of oscars (or any other fish for that matter) do not cause the fish and discomfort or negative health effects, with the possible exception of the fins being more likely to be caught or damaged.
If you like the way long-finned oscars look, and you have the proper setup for them, then I say, go for it.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
75 gallon community tank: tetras, danios, corys, platies, otos, pearl gouramis, bristlenose pleco, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
70 gallon growout tank: clown loaches, sailfin pleco
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish
29 gallon frog tank / 10 gallon tadpole tank: 1 leopard frog, 1 tadpole
10 gallon and 5.5 gallon betta tanks: 1 male betta each, sometimes snails

Hopefully you have a large tank for it, even domestic oscars grow to 12-14" and are massive

Nah, it'll only grow depending on the size of the tank. I've kept my oscar in a 10g tank for the past couple years and he maxed out at 5".
