Since the neon that got eaten wasn't looking well shortly after being added, chances are your angel sensed it was weak and therefore easy prey. It probably won't bother your strong and healthy neons. Especially if it has co-existed with them for two years. In the animal world, a weak or sick specimen often gets eaten. Nature's way of weeding out the unfit.

Now were down to the one neon that was in there originally. The angel ate the remaining 5 over night He is looking very fat and happy now, and still ate when I fed the tank. Lesson learned, no more neons in this tank.

I'll see if I can find any dwarf neon rainbows, if not I'll bump the serpas up to 10 or 12. Thank you for the suggestion

Just a quick update. We picked up and added some API root tabs under the root feeders. We also added 6 blood tetras which are way to big for the angel to eat. They are our new favorite fish too and are very active schoolers. Were were going to get more serpas, but saw the blood tetras, did a quick google search and bought them. We will get more pictures up soon

Wow its been a while since we updated. Things are actually doing pretty good. Everything is starting to grow and we have algae under control. I hope to add some pictures this afternoon. We added a few more plants since the last post and also 3 more corries.
