Lead bullets like from a firearm? Nah thats not a good idea I dont think. They would need to be sealed at the very least and personally I wouldnt risk it.

yeah i wouldnt do it either, grantid the lead is useualy coated in copper, but the gun powder could also leak into the water. unless you coat it in silicon or something like that i wouldnt do it, even if you do coat it i still wouldnt :P

Bullets? Are you talking about bullets specifically (i.e. the actual projectile), or about the complete cartridges (i.e. bullets still inserted into casings with powder inside)?

If the bullet is coated in the copper jacket, thats not any better imo because copper can leech as well and isnt good for most inhabitants even in relatively small doses.
If we are talking about entire cartridges here are some things to look at:
Lead
Tin
Aluminum
Copper
Gun Powder
Nitrocellulose
Nickel
Brass
I think that list says it all. The general consensus seems to be not worth the risk, bullet or entire cartridge.

Yes you can put them in your aquarium. You can also throw your boots in there, store paint cans, and dog food.
Should you? No.
It would depend on what you mean when you say bullets, I am guessing something along the lines of a spent brass casing.
I do use brass fittings for a few adapters on some of my tanks, but I would never submerge them for extended periods of time. Brass is just copper and zinc. Also they would corrode and look like crap after a while.
You could seal them, but it would kill the look honestly.Who is "General Failure" and why is he reading my hard drive?
