Wanted to make sure I covered all the Anabatoid families I've kept over the years, thus the length. Tried to make sure the language was clear and easy to read so prospective keepers would know how to keep their chosen species.

I was planning to keep Chocolates in my tank, this helped a lot. :D

I am thinking of keeping Pearl Gourami in my 40 gal breeder tank. My fancy LFS says two females, one male in this size tank. I have some CaribSea Freshwater Instant Aquarium white, very fine sand. I was going to use 40 lb of this sand and put my white clouds in the tank as well.

Then maybe some Julii Corys? What about Kuhli loaches? Or do these fish swim too fast?

Lots and lots of plants. What about driftwood?

Should I exchange the white sand for black?

Lots of work to do before getting the fish.
