Not always imo. Where as bound-book authors often have more experience, they also have their own opinions and it will come out in their work just like any author. The difference being at a place like this if you say something silly you will get corrections/suggestions.

Certainly any book thats say 20 years old I wouldnt even bother picking up with few exceptions.

I think both sources are great in their own respect.

Try searching for "books" and select "only search titles". There are a ton of these threads with lots of books listed.

+1 to the search feature Absolutely!
    Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.

A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

Thanks for the advice guys. I do understand that the Internet can be just as realiable as books and visversa, that is why I asked for your opinion on a good book. Also I do want to do what fishguy said, I wanna just uu and oh over stuff as I flip through a book.

IMO, if there is truly one book worth oohing and aahing over, it would be Ad Konings' Malawi Cichlids in Their Natural Habitat, 4th Edition. The photography is stunning along with good info. The Tanganyikan version, although only in the 2nd Edition, is nice also. I don't know if they have equals for other types of fish.
11 tanks, 5.5g up to 125g(2). Mbuna, Haps, Peacocks, Tangs, wild caught to tank raised!
