Mine is mellow as hell but I raised him in a tank of predators that dwarfed him, 20" fish that would have been happy to eat him if they were hungry enough.

Now I have him in a 125g mixed african cichlid tank with dwarf cichlids (i do not suggest that, especially if he's aggressive), venstus, red top cichlid, most peacocks, elongatus, i have two cigar sharks and a few pleco's in there.

Is the Frontosa the bigger fish towards the bottom of the tank in your pics Smokey? In the 2nd pic what kind of fish is above him and to the left? The one with the little spots on its tail? Then to the left of the spotty tail? The one that you can't see his face with the leopard type spots? I think I'm in love!!

The frontosa is the big blue one at the bottom and the one to left is a jack dempsey. :)
