Mine is mellow as hell but I raised him in a tank of predators that dwarfed him, 20" fish that would have been happy to eat him if they were hungry enough.

Now I have him in a 125g mixed african cichlid tank with dwarf cichlids (i do not suggest that, especially if he's aggressive), venstus, red top cichlid, most peacocks, elongatus, i have two cigar sharks and a few pleco's in there.
