6 to 8 inch Pseudotropheus demasoni what is it worth

Hi new to owning a aquarium. We haves 100 gallon tank and a very aggressive Pseudotropheus demasoni. We want to get rid of him but don't know what he is worth or even who to sell him to. Any info would be great.

demasoni are a dwarf cichlid, are you sure thats what you have? tops i've seen them get around 5".

You sure its not an elongatus?

From what I've been reading, males get about 4" and females about 3 1/2" so Smokey might be correct here.

But if you're wanting to get rid of him, perhaps the fish store will take him in as a credit or just take him off your hands if wanting to get rid of him.

I have about 50 demasoni and I've had several of them for more than a few years, I'm almost positive you have an elongatus due to the fact that they look very similar just without the really thick black bars. elongatus have thinner bars.

You can easily trade them in for store credit at a Local fish store, not petsmart or petco. good luck!
