Thread: macro cut back

  1. Question macro cut back

Hey friends, looking for suggestions here... After having a fuge on my reef for almost two years, I finally got it perfect. Aparently my old light was insufficiant because with the latest addition of HO T5s macro is out of control!!! I'm cutting it back but it is loaded with all sizes and types of pods that i would love to "shake out" into the main tank as a tasty snack... Is this possible? Any ideas will be helpful.

    Thanks in advance, Jay.

I would not worry too much about your pods, I'm sure there is a ton of them in your tank.

Although it is certainly possible, I would not recommend it if your algae has trapped particals in it as you'll just be putting crud into your tank.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thanks for a new perspective I haven't thought about... The mass of macro is so thick, I'm sure it has acted like a big wad of filter-floss!
