feeding cardinals tetra problem
Hello
I have a problem feeding my Cardinals Tetra, they can't really eat at the top of the tank because the other big fishes, they mostly hide into the plants, and if i give some food tablets my yamato shrimps escape with them, any suggestions?Here is the list of my tank fishes:
6 tetra congo
6 Bleeding Heart Tetra
20 Cardinal Tetra
6 Pristella Tetra
8 yamato shrimps
2 angels (baby)
2 Clown loach (baby)
Tank size 55 gallons(207 L)

Tiny fish will not complete with larger fish during feeding times. They aren't dummies! I feed those that are bigger and more active on one end of the tank then crush up some flakes and drop them on the other end for my neons, glowlights and corys.

Exactly what Lady Hobbs said!
I also break up the flakes with my thumb and finger and make sure to get some under the waters surface so it spreads out a bit which gives the smaller tetras a chance to get some.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
