So what are all you other Canadians up to for the Long Weekend?
I turned down a slowpitch tournament (too far to drive, didn't want to stay overnight), visiting my bestest friend on Friday, and golfing with my aunt on Monday (I wangled a 4 day weekend).
The days in between will be home, tank, and yard maintenance days.

I think I'll be staining the deck, if we get good weather. My wife has to work so we can't go to the lake or anything like that

I think I got volun-told to chauffeur my mom and her wheelchair around >> Normally we go to Fortress Louisbourg on Canada Day, but the fortress is not wheelchair-friendly. I myself don't have any real plans. Will be bugging my youngest sister to get a ton of cartridge candy from the Fortress Louisbourg visitor center gift shop

Why the long weekend up north? especially with july 4th being this weekend.

Canadians don't get July 4th. As far as I know that's strictly a US holiday.
We get July 1st, or Canada Day.
