Adding 2 Female Dwarf Gouramis
I've been reading, and it seems that if I want to add more gouramis to my tank, what I need to add are females. With my current stock of 1 dwarf gourami (male) and 5 corycats, plus a bunch of snails, could I get two females for my 20 gallon high?
I thought that my gourami was super aggressive, but it turns out he was just afraid of the minnows I had in my tank. They've been rehomed, and I've added some floating plants, and he is much more mellow.
Thanks!20 Gal - 1 Dwarf Flame Gourami, 5 CoryCats (3 Green Laser, and 2 Bandit), 6 Assassin Snails.

It might be alright, but you'll just run into aggression issues again if he breeds with either of them. During caring for the eggs male gouramis are very territorial.A severe lack of trichogaster.
Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.
