how big is the tank you need to filter? how many fish and what size are they? there are alot of factors to take into account before you start building.

It is a Trout fish farm & has tons of fish !! It has 4 phases including several big ponds or tanks ( do u need to know their size?? 30*4*1.20 ).In each phase the same aged fish are put , but they r separated from the young ones & eggs which r put in a special salon . Do we need 1 filter 4 each pond or just 1 in the entrance or 1 for each phase or maybe other options ?? The number of fish in each pond differs depending the age of the fish. Any more information u need ??

Thanks for ur support any way !!!

With that big of a pond/tank, I would recommend doing it one per holding tank. So that if disease breaks out (hopefully not, knock on wood), the other tanks won't be infected.

Where is the water coming from that is going into your tank? I think you can just use porous rocks if you have a lot of water flow anyways.

So the water comes in from rivers, then goes out to where? If it goes back to nature itself, i simply don't think you need a bio-filter then.

It goes back to the river but there are other farms using the river's water too . So the problem is pollution from the upper farms pollutes ours & I'm looking to find a solution 4 this problem . Maybe biofilters are not the right solution I'm not sure yet !!But I'm sure I have to find something for this issue soon !!!

do you know what pollutants at what concentrations are in the incoming water? I should think you'd need to know that in order to come up with a plan for dealing with it.
