    Mine was outside in a pond all winter with water temps in the low 40s through all summer with water temps in the low 80s. Pretty wide really. For a temparature controlled tank or other I would say mid 70s would be best. Assuming you have a 500 gal tank to keep one in correctly.

    500g for a fingerling or two really lol. 5k gallons is about right for a blue to really live life in.

    can I ask why you would want such a huge catfish? Is there a fish fry coming up?

    I keep mine to avoid fish fry
    For op. A channel cats size when kept well would be over 2 ft long and 15 to 20lbs in about 2 yrs. They aren't an aquarium fish. Mine is going to the Bass pro shop aquarium at the end of this year,then ill get another next spring.

    not for aquariums, for sure her is a pict of mine last year(albino not blue). he is 2 feet long and lives in my pond.
