  1. Default Question about gourami?

    0 Not allowed!
One of my dwarf gouramis has not been eating ever since i got him a week ago.He has been at the top corner of the aquarium with his mouth up towards the top of the water.I had tested my water and all the things checked out to be good except the ph is at a 7.6.What could be causing my gourami not to eat and be stressed out? Also the other dwarf gourami thats in my aquarium hasnt been eating that much food either. One thing i could think of when i first got the gouramis is that i didnt acclimate them to the aquarium water.i just had set the bag in the water for 20 minutes then i netted them and put them right in.

Fish need some time to adjust to their new surroundings. Try putting food in the tank and then leaving the room. It could be stressed out by your presence near the tank.

One of my gourami's did this. I didn't see him eat for 1 or 2 weeks. He eventually started on his on. He would just stay at the top. Once he got comfortable he is all over the tank now.

Maybe his water needs to be aerated.
