Default Pearl Gourami (x2) in 29 Gallon?

    0 Not allowed!
    Hey guys,

Could I keep 2 Pearl Gouramis (one male and one female) in my 29 gallon tank with: 6 Furcatas, 8 Guppies, and 2 Badis Badis?

    *Would they get too big?

*Would they harass/fin nip the smaller fish?

    Thanks!
29 Gallon: 6 Blue Neon Guppies, 6 Furcatas (Fork Tail Blue Eye), 2 Badis Badis, 1 Gardneri Killi 15+ Cherry Shrimp

I think that would work just fine. The only issue you might have is if the two gouramis do not get along.

I think that you'll do great as long as their by themselves.

Several people told me I couldn't keep two dwarf gourami males in a 40 gal tank.

With a male and a female, not sure how the male Pearl would react to the other fish in your tank during breeding....I know they build a bubble nest and guard it.

Not sure also whether they drive the females crazy. I think someone told me I needed at least a couple of females per male.

Never keep them in that small of a tank. Pearl Gourami get 4 to 4 1/2 in. They are one of the more peaceful Gourami I hve 2 males and 5 female in one of my 75 gal tank I think they reccomend at least a 30 gal tank.

If they are a matched pair, I agree with Rich, everything should be fine.
When in doubt, do a water change.
