Just an update. While waiting for the tank to cycle, I skipped testing for a few days. When I did test, I found that all the ammonia and nitrites were gone. Since I had no idea when that happened, I figured it was very possible that all the BB died. Of course, then I had to add more ammonia and start over. Fortunately for me, this time only took a couple days.

Long story short, my tank now has fish in it. Added them last night, and took some crappy photos because I was too tired to make a big effort.

    Your tank is looking good

    I really like your severums
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I'm so jealous of the driftwood in there. Did you scavenge for it yourself or get it from a shop? Have you considered adding some large stones or slate in there? And what are the dimensions of that tank? The tank looks awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing it completed (as if anyone ever considers their tank completed lol).

Thanks, I found all the driftwood myself on beaches around the country. The stump in the middle has been soaking since mid last year. I may think about adding a couple rocks later on. The tank is 72 x 18 x 18

You can plant driftwood? How long does it take to grow? Silly me, I still have to hunt for it.

Needless to say, I'll be watching this thread closely.
