DIY Java Moss Cave
I figured I would see if I could get the moss to grow on the netting and if it does, I can train it into a nice cave shape. I just used plastic netting in a cylinder and put a flat rock in the tunnel to hold it down.
My sparkling gouramis really like it.

Your best bet might be to put the java moss on the inside. That way the only way for it to grow, is to grow through/around the holes and then you could trim the middle slightly.
Either way, hope it works out!

There is a clump floating on top, but I did separate strands and poke it though the mesh. After about 10 or so I gave up, lol. I like the idea of moving the clump to the inside of the tunnel though.
PS. I know the java moss looks rough, I bought 2 clumps of it and some is brown. It should recover.
