  1. Default Combamba and Gouramis

I just wanted to let you know that these 2 aren't a good mix. I started out with several stems of nice combamba and my gouramis have completely ripped it apart. They rip all the bristles or whatever you want to call them off the stem. All I have is a new bud at the very top hahaha.

What kind of gouramis? I had cabomba with a few honey goyramis and had no issues.

    Dwarf Blue Fancy Gouramis.

However when I started my combamba I didn't have my 65 watt light or any Co2 hooked up and I know they are a bit more of a "needy" plant.
So I may buy a few more sprigs and see if I have any luck with them.

hey,i have the same problem but in my tetra aquarium, the cobamba isn't growing fast enough and shredding all its leaves.what should i do?

My pearls leave the combomba alone.
Some gouramis will use bits of plants along with bubbles to construct their bubble nest so maybe you have some spawning action taking place.

It might not have enough light. In that case you get some low light plants like anacharis, crypts, African fern, Java Moss, and Java fern if you don't already have them.

I have alot of Cabomba and I have 8 Pearl Gouramis and a 9" Snakeskin Gouramis and I have not had any issues with it. Cabomba does need high light and CO2 to prosper.

False. I have a 20 watt flora-glo bulb on my 29 gallon with no co2, and my combomba are growing out the tank....

As everyone else has said. Think about some better lighting or DIY Co2.
