    Great read and thank you for putting your effort and time into writing it for us. I hope to have started a reef tank with in the year but for right now I am in research mode and this thread is priceless. Thanks again

    Should dead corals that I plan on putting in my tank be cured like live rock since it is the same material. Also shells too. By the way these were in a SW tank 30 years ago.

    Are the coral skeletons coming from a SW tank that's currently up and running or were the coral skeletons boxed and stored after having been in an SW tank at some point many years ago and now considered being used?
