Ok so I have a male Betta my gf just got me randomly and right now it's in a 1/2 gal tank with no heater or filter. I do water changes every other day 10% but I feel bad for the guy. I want to get him a larger tank but I don't have the space or money for a large tank. I really wanna get like a 2 gal. Anyone know where to get one for cheap? And would he be more happy in there. Granted that one won't have a filter or heater either but I figure it would b better than what he's in now?

I don't know where you live, but Petsmart has 2.5 gallon filtered systems for under $20...

If i recall correctly petsmart also carries heaters for small tanks as well. It might have been petco that I saw the heaters in though. If worst comes to worst, order a small heater online. They are 10 watts.
