hi everyone i set my tank up yesterday cleaned everything in normal water etc new gravel ornaments live plants its been running for 24 hours now but the water is now clear i have put the filter together correctly how can i be sure its working correctly i also added the water safe stuff and nothing else oh and how do i plant the plants do i take the weights off the bottom thanks

what was the name of the water conditioner you got?

its a new starter kit but i have not yet added the filter start as yet it says add it day 3 which is tomoorow :( just a bit worried i have had fish years ago but never from scratch could it be the wood i added then again i did soak it first i am in the uk so i suppose every country has different starter kits

The tank will need cycling.
This can be done with or without fish. The best thing to do is download and read the ebook from the menu on the left and look at links in the cycling sub forum.
When you decide which way to go come back with anything you need help with.
