Meet Searchlight
I went into the lfs last night to get a silk plant for me female betta tank; I was not planning on purchasing another fish. I knew that a shipment had arrived a few days ago, so I figured I'd go have a look. Normally I just look.
Was admiring the new fish when I noticed how spiky they were.
O.O
For the first time in at least eight months, they'd gotten a shipment of crowntail bettas. Of course, having searched for one and failed until Nicky, I could not pass one up.
Meet Searchlight

He spent most of the night hiding, but has since come out and is all over the tank

He is very handsome! I agree with everyone else about those awesome curly-bits. Kind of like Superman's s-curl XD

XD I'm starting to think I should have named him "Grissom", after the CSI character. He's very carefully and meticulously investigating the glass stones in his tank, he's very precise and methodical about chasing the laser pointer, and he's closely examining his fake plant. He's acting just like CSI Grissom with spiky fins
