My 120 Gallon Reef
I know this might be off to an early start to a tank journal, but I’m just really excited
Today I bought a 120 gallon tank that I will make into a reef tank.
I've been thinking about another tank so when I found this one, it just seamed right. Apparently someone ordered it from our SW LFS but when it arrived they did not want it anymore. I could not believe it was exactly what I was looking for. Because it was a cancelled order, I got it at a great price. The store owner even agreed to hold it until May when I will be able to work in my unheated garage and build a stand for it
I got a 120 gallon tank, 4’ X 2’ X 2’ with a built in corner overflow and the back panel is drilled for the return line. It’s a euro braced tank, and the back panel has a black acrylic sheet attached to it.
I'm planning to make this a (mostly) LPS reef tank with a moderate stocking of reef safe fish.
When I get the tank home, I’ll post a pickLast edited by Cliff; 03-05-2011 at 10:20 PM.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
