Thread: Stocking list

  1. Default Stocking list

what fish would i be able to put in a 55 gal. FOWLR. my tank is freshwater right now, but i plan on converting it to saltwater this summer. i like to have more small fish, rather than a couple large ones.

My suggestion would be to look into a pair of clown fish and 4 or 5 green chormis. Maybe a dwarf flame angel as well.

Have you given any thought to a clean-up crew yet ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

IMO, emerald crabs are a lot better than hermit crabs ( at least in my opinion ).

Both hermits and emeralds are great additions to a cuc. I would not get clowns for your first tank as they usually turn into a big let down for new SW keepers. Damsels are usually the cheapest "small" fish out there and there are tons of different types. Start researching them to see if any appeal to you. Keep in mind that most will be pretty aggressive though...
