The Tarantula Times...
May as well start a log of the experience! It's totally new for me!
Went shopping today...went to Michaels and got 2 small containers...just have to drill a series of ventilation holes in them (hopefully they don't shatter). Bought some ExoTerra 'Plantatation Soil'. If that's not suitable I'll keep looking for something better.
They had their decorative pebbles on sale...so I bought some of those to put in the water dish (so the babies don't drown - as well as the crickets).
Bought two tiny 2 oz ceramic bowls at PetSmart...will fill with pebbles and water...should be easy to clean out and sanitize and should hold enough water to evaporate for high humidity levels.
Then I bought a tray to put the containers on...impulse shopping...no reason it can't look purty...

The tray is beautiful. Maybe just put a flower in each container and skip the spider altogether? Haha

LOL..or a spider plant? Maybe you can find one in Blue?
When in doubt, do a water change.

I could buy another plastic cube for a flower...put it between the two cages...how's that for compromise?
The cheque went in the mail this morning...
...so now I have to restrain myself from asking every 15 minutes "is it there yet?". Then I have to restrain myself from asking "is it warm enough to ship them yet?"...followed by restraint in asking "has the mail arrived yet?"...
...which I'm sure will be shortly followed by "have they moulted yet?" and "have they come out of their burrow yet"?
The T afficionados affectionately call the burrow entrance the 'pet hole'.
I think I need to learn a little meditation...have some Zen moments...T keeping is not for the impatient...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

Thanks!
I'm getting a 1/2" Singapore Blue (L. violaceopes) and a 1" Brazilian Black (G. pulchra).
...I cracked one of the little plastic boxes drilling holes (thought that might happen). I tried a couple of different ways. Now I need to get a smaller soldering iron (mine's too big) and try melting holes.55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

This should work. This is how I put holes in my Ball Python tubs.
