I bought in to the theory that putting them directly in water washes off the odour. Probably not a huge deal, but may affect fussy eaters.

Mind you - you feed a lot of snakes. I only feed one, so it doesn't matter if the way I do it is more time consuming. If I had several to feed I don't think I could do it under the lamps...

I tried partial thawing in the microwave...that worked well too. But one day either I set the microwave wrong...or something else happened and I exploded a rat...

...so no more microwaves for me...

Awesome snake!!! I absolutely love her! I had a fussy albino corn snake before... She was very irritating when she just randomly decided "I dont want to eat" and litterally starved herself to death. I have always wanted to replace her but have never had the cooperation with the SO.

Thank you! I do love the way she looks...but it would be nice if she was just a little mellower. The corn snakes are much friendlier (for the most part)...

I wonder if the colour morphs show behavioural traits associated with the genetics?

My neighbour just got a breeding pair of diamond pythons, and the male bit her and wrapped around her arm, so she walked up my drive way so i could help get it off lol, but it let go before she got here.

Im not a big fan of snakes to be honest, but that coz around where i live we get deadly snakes, like browns and king browns, my mum even thought she saw a Eastern taipan.

I'm not a fan of snakes either and I have one simple rule when it comes to them, They leave me alone and I will leave them alone...

You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.

From what I have seen in my own collection and from talking to other breeders and collectors...color/pattern mutations do not seem to affect the snakes personality.
