  1. Default Correct type of Ammonia and a few Q's

I'm starting out my tank. I have a 37 gallon tank with play sand as the substrate. I set it up last night and the water is crystal clear. I'm going to do a fishless cycle and just picked up some ammonia.

I got the ACE brand janitorial strength formula which contains 10% ammonium hydroxide. I've shaken it to ensure it does not foam so I'm assuming it is the correct stuff. However.. just to be safe I figured checking was worth the effort. So.. is this the right stuff?

I'll be using drift wood in this tank along with a few fake plants. I want to keep it simple and elegant without the distractions of fake ornaments and flashy colors. (Except for the fish of course ) Also planning on a bubble wall in the back. Should look nice against the black background. :

I have a big order of stuff coming from Foster Smith which includes my master test kit... Sadly the stuff won't be here for a little while since I just ordered and there is a holiday on Monday. Should I wait to add a small amount of ammonia or can I put a few teaspoons worth in to get a little jump on the process? I've already added some Stress Zyme and crushed up a tiny amount of food into the tank.

I haven't 100% decided on my fish yet...
Currently thinking about a group of Cory Cats, some Gourami, and a decent sized shoal of Tetras. Maybe some Ghost shrimp as well for some variety.

Anyhow... Thanks for the help! I look forward to this tank.. It'll perfect in my apartment!! Been a few years since I've had a tank.. the 5 gallon tank in college just wasn't enough:)

    Yes, that ammonia is perfect.
